Jamie Sporcic is our sales and business development manager. He joined the team in 2020, having previously worked as a construction sales manager (M&E) and on-site assistant site manager at Hilti. He says that having completed a big project in his previous role, he was looking for something new and Jones and Woolman UK was the perfect fit.
Specialising in vertical penetrations, Jamie brings a wealth of mechanical and electrical knowledge to the team. In his current role, he supports the development of the business by delivering CPDs that support the team, clients and partners with technical specification challenges. He also works hard to build and maintain existing client relationships.
He says that he has worked on a variety of projects during his time at Jones and Woolman UK and is proud of having worked with some big names in the industry, as well as on some prestigious and high-value projects.
One such project was the LON1 data centre in Slough. “Data centres can be challenging projects, as they usually have tight schedules, small working spaces and temperature-sensitive environments. We're also working around some extremely delicate and expensive equipment, so there's a lot to think about,” he explains.
“J&W's expertise in extreme situations, combined with our prefabricated approach to vertical penetrations" helps to overcome these challenges to ensure that even the most technically demanding project can be completed with ease.”
Jamie says he’s excited about what the future holds for the industry, and he’s particularly interested to see how Jones and Woolman UK will expand in terms of taking on more data centre projects.
“In our modern world, everything relies on data centres," he explains. "So ensuring all the equipment stays dry and protected from the weather is critical – for businesses, hospitals, the government and everyday people."
Of course, Jamie’s expertise encompasses much more than vertical penetrations and weatherproofing. Adding that when he’s not at work, he enjoys watching football – especially his favourite team, Aston Villa – and working out at the gym.
